My story...
Like most people I started as a hobby baker over 20 years ago but quickly fell in love with the art of cake decorating. When I finally took the plunge and went into business I was amazed at the response and haven't looked back since!
In 2016 Amelia Rose Cake Studio was voted 'BEST BAKERY' for the county of Northamptonshire in The Muddy Stilettos Awards. In 2017 I reached the regional finals in the 'Wedding Industry Awards' then went on to be awarded 'Regional Highly Commended - East Midlands'. I was thrilled to repeat this success and retain this title in 2018. More success followed when later the same year I was announced overall winning 'Wedding Cake Designer 2018' for the Midlands region in 'The Wedding Awards'. My most recent achievement is another overall win as Wedding Cake Designer of 2021 for the East Midlands Region in The Wedding Industry Awards. I am immensely proud of these achievements and it is thanks to all my fabulous and loyal customers that I have been recognised by these prestigious wedding industry awards.
I still absolutely love everything about the cake world. I still get a thrill when a cake turns out of the tin perfectly, I will happily spend hours modelling beautiful flowers and perfecting each and every cake. Most of all - nothing, but nothing, beats the thrill of handing the cake over to a customer and seeing the look on their face! Spreading happiness is a wonderful perk of the job.
When you order from me you can do so, safe in the knowledge that I am registered with the local council as a food provider. I am fully insured, hold a 5* hygiene rating and continue to participate in industry standard training so that I am always totally up to date with legislations and allergy guidance.
I am a bit of a perfectionist so be assured that your cake will be immaculate, level and have super sharp edges as standard. All of my cakes are supplied as minimum 6" high – that’s more than DOUBLE the height of a supermarket cake, so offers great value for money.
I can’t (and don’t) compete with super-market prices. However my cakes are bespoke, baked fresh to your exact requirements and will be unique to you.
Yes, a quality bespoke cake does indeed cost more than mass produced versions but it is something that will make your celebration stand out and create many marvellous memories.
